Sagar Lonial, MD, FACP, FASCO is a medical oncologist, treats patients with multiple myeloma, and is a lead member of the bone marrow transplantation and clinical trials teams. He is professor and chair of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. He also serves as chief medical officer at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He serves as vice chair of the finance committee of the International Myeloma Society and vice chair of the myeloma committee in the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. He is also president and chair of the Society of Hematologic Oncology and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the International Myeloma Foundation.
