S. Vincent Rajkumar, MD is a Consultant in the Division of Hematology in the Department of Internal Medicine and Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Rajkumar served as the principal investigator on several clinical trials for the treatment of myeloma, including the pivotal trials that led to the regulatory approval of thalidomide for the treatment of the disease in the United States. He also serves as the Editor-in-chief for the Blood Cancer Journal, Associate Editor of the European Journal of Haematology, Member of the NCI's Myeloma Steering Committee, Member of the board of directors for the International Myeloma Foundation, and Chair of the Myeloma Committee for ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group.
